2.10.  – 2.11. 2025

The Helsinki-based artist Eeva Juuti (b. 1992) opens her first solo exhibition, 299 792 458 m/s, on October 2nd at Galleriaia in Helsinki.

In her artistic practice, Juuti explores the boundaries of materiality, light, time, and transience. She employs a diverse range of materials in her works, including paper, photography, ready-made objects, and found items. Her work is grounded in the idea that everyday materials can act as carriers of memory, energy, and light — shaped both by natural forces and human attention.

In this exhibition, Juuti introduces a new element into her works — light — integrated into her sculptural paintings.

Juuti has studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam (BFA), the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki (MFA). Her work has been exhibited both in Finland and internationally.

The exhibition is curated by Niklas Hallman.
